This area contains the Final Report of the Leonardo da Vinci Thematic group on “Transparency of qualifications, validation of non-formal and informal learning, credit transfer” (also known as TG4).
The Final Report has a two-fold objective:

  • on one hand, giving to all those who are interested in the Thematic Monitoring initiative and the specific experience of TG4, an understanding of the context of reference for the Group, of the methodological pathway followed, as well as of the final achievements of the work carried out;
  • on the other hand, providing to all the LLP-Leonardo da Vinci Programme actors (European and national authorities, stakeholders, social partners, national agencies, promoters, end-users) a qualitative analysis on interesting and relevant practices carried out in the framework of the Programme itself.

To this purpose, the Report contains:

  • an overview of the background, approach, activities and results of the Group, since its re-establishment in April 2006 until 31 December 2007;
  • the analysis carried out on 45 project practices concerning the themes of transparency of competences and qualifications, credit transfer and validation of non-formal and informal learning and selected by the National Agencies of their respective country for answering to an on-line questionnaire;
  • conclusions and recommendations for the future.
The projects contributions analysed in the Report are included in their full version in a specific database (available in the Projects section of this CD). They have also served for the implementation of the paper Brochure “A focus on project practices” (which aims at valorising good and relevant experiences in the field of interest for the Thematic Group).
