Working in the National Agency responsible for the Leonardo programme and given that Leonardo has dedicated and will concern specific priorities on the concerned themes, the participation to an international debate can help us learn about good practices obn accreditation of competences implemented in other countries, which could turn out useful for our technical assistance to potential promoters of transfer of innovation projects.

Our main activity consists in implementing methodologies for the development of VET-work- education integrated system, based on competences management. Our processing assumes the EU inputs on transparency and mutual recognition of qualifications, competences and credits points to produce a coordinated system of standards. Interest in the future, which we are already working on, is the sharing of criteria, format and methods of representation standards that support, in an integrated way, the following chain: recognition of profiles/professionals competences, including Key competences - definition of qualifications obtained in VET - production of standardsfor the certification of competences and skills however acquired - production of "Units" and credits points (for transfer) for each qualification - designing learning pathways to ensure transparency and recognizability of results obtained.

Formedil is the national organization in the field of vocationtional training for the building sector . theis organziation is gered by the national association of buidling constructors and the trade unions of the sector.Formedil is interested in developing studies and researches related to the competences and how to assess them.Trasfobuilding isthe projec t approved by the European Commission under the standing Learning - programme Leonardo da Vinci - Action TOI 2007.The projects  is focused on some relevant trends emerging at the european level in the building sector:shortages of qualified workers,increasing of moblityand temporary migration phenomena,need to improve transaprency in the job market,growing importance of no formal and informal learning processs occurring at the workplace,difficulties in recognizing in a good way th eknowledge and the experience of people out of work to want to come back in the job market.
